Over fifteen years ago, best friends, Brook Borengasser and Mary Young, dreamed up a way to pursue their passions and leave the corporate grind. As they put it, “We hung up our suits from corporate America and put on our dog leashes.” That’s right - they took the leap into building a doggie daycare. On August 17, 2009, Ultimutt Dog Care opened its doors for the first time.

Brook and Mary set out to create a safe, fun environment for dogs to socialize with other dogs while their busy owners were away. It’s easy to see they achieved that goal. They not only built a successful business - they created one of the first and finest, premiere dog day care, boarding, and grooming facilities in the River Valley.

Resolution Equity Partners (REP) approached Brook and Mary with potential buyers, but they weren’t quite ready to sell. This wasn’t just a business to them, this was their dream. If they were going to sell, they had to have the perfect buyer.
